What We Do

Our Mission: Empowering Community to Achieve Whole-Person Wellness
At Community Health Ministry we want to help you when you are in need. We want to provide this area with quality assistance and care, giving people a place to go where they know they will be welcomed and receive good support.

As safety net clinic located in Wamego, Kansas, population 4,372, we offer a unique blend of services including medical, dental, portable dental, legal, mental health, food pantry, assistance with prescriptions, rent and utilities, household items, and medical equipment/supplies. We accept clients from all over Northeast Kansas. In 2012 we served over 20,000 clients from 31communities in 13 different counties.

Following Jesus' teaching involves meeting people where they are and providing for their needs: feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, welcoming the stranger, clothing the naked, comforting the sick and visiting the imprisoned.

Matthew 25:35-39: "For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?"
